Battle Pack 2: War of the Giants follows hot on the heels of last year's Battle Pack: Epic Dawn, the first booster pack in Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG history built specially for sealed play. In sealed competition what you see is literally what you get: You open ten Battle Packs and build your Deck from those cards. Last year that meant monster-destroying spells and traps and lots of timely Xyz Summons. But this time around it's all about giant-sized monsters slugging it out to rule the battlefield!

So, how can you win the War of the Giants? Here are some tips to help you on your path...

1. Make The Most Of Your Miniature Monsters!

This set might be about heavy hitters, but it all starts with the little guys. Your low-Level monsters won't win Duels on their own, but they're important because...

• You need them for Tribute Summons.
• They can attack to destroy monsters your opponent tries to use as Tribute.
• They'll draw out Spell and Trap Cards, making it safer to swing with your big guys.
• With the right support, they can even take on monsters of higher Level!

The more aggressively you play your low-Level monsters, the tougher it'll be for your opponent to make Tribute Summons. But you can't be reckless: If your smaller monsters get wiped out, you won't be able to Tribute Summon either. It's a tricky balancing act.

2. Protect The Powerful!

Once you do manage a big Tribute Summon, don't just ram your prized monster into a pile of Trap Cards! Secure the field with your big Summon, then send smaller monsters to attack. That way you'll keep control of the game. Keep in mind that some monsters have effects that can protect bigger, more important ones.

Pitch-Black Warwolf shields your monsters from Trap Cards when they attack.
Card Guard can place a Guard Counter on your monster, saving it from destruction.
Necro Gardna can negate an attack when banished, stopping what might otherwise destroy a monster you need.

Remember, you only have so many Spells and Traps. Think twice before using them to defend smaller monsters. After all, bigger monsters cost you more and can do more damage.

3. Turn The Tables On Tiny Attackers!

One of the best ways to make a comeback is to play a couple Spell and Trap Cards to help a small monster take down a bigger one. The problem? That takes a lot of cards! If your opponent tries to do that and you shut them down, they may never recover.

Cards like Forbidden Lance and Overworked punish your opponent for throwing all their ATK boosts onto one monster. Take that monster down and your opponent loses everything. If your opponent does succeed, get your monster back in the fight with revival cards like Miracle's Wake, Time Machine, or Call of the Haunted! Most ATK pumps only last one turn, so if your opponent struggled to beat your monster the first time, they might not be able to do it again.

War of the Giants sealed play is all about balancing small independent monsters, low-Level monsters with boosts, and huge high-Level leviathans. Master all three and you can dominate your Duels!
