The remote town of North Hill was devastated by a mysterious disease that originated from a fallen meteorite. The parasitic infestation, known as Couper disease, turned the residents into cannibals, forcing the town into lockdown to prevent the disease from spreading. Six years later, young Billy returns to his hometown of North Hill as a soldier full of hopes, only to have them crushed by a second meteorite! In a stroke of luck, Billy runs into his childhood crush Eleanor, who is about to have a baby she expects to raise on her own. Although Eleanor’s happy to see Billy, their reunion is cut short by a second unexpected meteorite that comes crashing into the hospital where Eleanor’s in labor!
