The Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V anime is set to air soon, and an early pick for coolest character is Shay Obsidian, a Duelist from the destroyed Xyz Dimension! Shay is basically the Xyz answer to Crow from Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D’s, right down to using a Deck full of DARK Winged Beast monsters. His Raidraptors have been appearing in boosters for over a year, and now they’re getting a concentrated dose of awesome new cards courtesy of Wing Raiders!

Raidraptor Decks need to Xyz Summon a lot to keep up their Rank-Up-Magic strategy, but they also need to keep their hands full of cards so they can respond to changing situations in a Duel. The new Rank 4 Xyz Monster Raidraptor – Force Strix helps to do everything a Raidraptor Duelist could ever want to do. It defends with a minimum of 2000 DEF (plus 500 more for every other Winged Beast you control), lets you detach Xyz Material to add Level 4 DARK Winged Beasts from your Deck to your hand and is a great place to start ranking up Xyz Monsters!

Previously, Raidraptors topped out with the Rank 6 Raidraptor – Revolution Falcon, but now they can go two Ranks beyond to the new Rank 8 Raidraptor – Satellite Cannon Falcon! When you Xyz Summon it using at least one Raidraptor as Material, you’ll destroy all of your opponent’s Spell and Trap Cards and prevent them from using any of them in response! From there, you can drain away the ATK from any of your opponent’s monsters by detaching a Material during either player’s turn, making Satellite Cannon Falcon impossible to attack.

But that’s not the only new addition to the Raidraptor Xyz arsenal—you can also add Cyber Dragon Infinity to the mix thanks to Rank-Up-Magic Soul Shave Force! With Soul Shave Force you can pay half of your LP to bring back a “Raidraptor” Xyz Monster from your Graveyard, and then Rank it up into anything that’s two Ranks higher! That means your Raidraptor – Force Strix that you used ages ago can turn into a game-ending Cyber Dragon Infinity no matter how low your LP gets because you can always pay half of it!
