“Prophecy” monsters debuted in last year’s Return of the Duelist, and now the new Abyss Rising Booster Pack brings five new Spellcaster-Type monsters to the theme, plus five more signature “Spellbook” cards!

Empress Your Friends!

Empress of Prophecy is a Rank 5 Xyz Monster that gains 300 ATK for every Xyz Material you have. Since the Empress starts with two Xyz Materials, she’ll hit the field with at least 2600 Attack Points! Also, her effect lets you reveal the top five cards of your Deck and destroy monsters up to the number of “Spellbooks” you find. Then, return those cards to the top of your Deck in any order.

Using that effect, put Spellbooks on top of your Deck and unleash a killer combo with cards such as Spellbook Library of the Heliosphere! This “Spellbook” reveals the top two cards of your Deck and adds any revealed “Spellbook” Spells to your hand. 

Book Returns!

The Grand Spellbook Tower is a new Field Spell Card that lets you draw a card in your Standby Phase if you return a “Spellbook” Spell from your Graveyard to the bottom of the Deck. If your opponent destroys the Tower, Special Summon a Spellcaster from your Deck or hand!

Spellbook Star Hall is a Continuous Spell that gets a Spell Counter every time you activate a “Spellbook” Spell. Spellcasters up their ATK by 100 for every Spell Counter. If it’s destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, add a Spellcaster from your Deck to your hand.

Justice Is Served!

Justice of Prophecy is one of the coolest cards in Abyss Rising. If Justice is on the field during the End Phase of any turn you activated a “Spellbook” Spell, banish Justice to search your Deck for a “Spellbook” Spell and a Level 5 or higher LIGHT or DARK Spellcaster.
