Lord of the Tachyon Galaxy’s Mecha Phantom Beasts are an entire air wing of bestiomorphic warplanes outfitted with super-futuristic recon technology. They’re all WIND Machine monsters and work with one of the most popular game mechanics—Tokens!

Nearly every Mecha Phantom Beast monster has three things in common:
•  If you have any kind of Token on your side of the field, they become invulnerable to destruction.
•  Their Levels increase by the total Levels of Mecha Phantom Beast Tokens you control.
•  They have two effects you can use: one that uses Tokens and one that creates Tokens.

Xtreme Xyz Summoning!

Because they can change Levels so easily, Mecha Phantom Beast Decks can have the most wide and varied Extra Deck of any strategy out there. With just the Mecha Phantom Beasts and their Tokens, you can Summon monsters of Ranks 3, 4, 6, 7, 9, and 10, including the WIND-only monsters, Totem Bird and Lightning Chidori, and Machine-only Gear Gigant X!

How Do I Token?

Without Tokens, your fleet won’t even make it into enemy airspace. A good basic strategy is to aim to have two Mecha Phantom Beast Tokens to work with on any given turn. That’s where Mecha Phantom Beast Megaraptor comes in. If you Summon one Token to your side of the field while you control Megaraptor, it Summons another to go with it. The Aerial Recharge Trap is great for this, because it works during either player’s turn. Or, you could just use Mecha Phantom Beast Hamstrat and get two Tokens when it flips face-up!

Scramble!! the Jets!

You really want to Summon as many Tokens as possible, because if your opponent has more monsters than you have non-Token monsters, you can activate Scramble!! Scramble!! to turn all of your Tokens into real monsters. Successfully activating it while you have two or more Tokens on the field is oftentimes enough to win you the Duel outright! If you’re having trouble drawing Scramble!! Scramble!!, try putting Quick Booster (from Cosmo Blazer ) in your Deck. When your opponent destroys it, thinking it’s a Trap Card, you’ll be able to pull the incredibly devastating Scramble!! Scramble!! straight from your Deck!
