The Bujin theme started back in Judgment of the Light and grew stronger with Shadow Specters and Legacy of the Valiant! Now you can find a new Level 4 Beast-Warrior to add to your aggressive strategy, a new Xyz Monster that retrieves your banished cards, and a new Bujingi to win any battle with the release of Primal Origin!

Bujin Hirume is a new Level 4 Beast-Warrior, with a whopping 2000 ATK! She can’t be Normal Summoned, but instead is Special Summoned by banishing any Bujin from your Graveyard. With Hirume, it’s easy to throw down a ton of extra damage.

Bujin Hirume also gets you one-third of the way to Xyz Summoning the new Bujinki Amaterasu. You’ll need three monsters to play Amaterasu. You can get two of the three quickly by Special Summoning Hirume, then Special Summoning Bujin Arasuda because you banished a Bujin in your Graveyard. Then all you need is to Normal Summon any other Level 4 monster!

Amaterasu has the ability to return your banished monsters, but it will do so differently depending on whose turn it is. If it’s your turn, you get to Special Summon that monster. If it’s your opponent’s turn, the monster returns to your hand instead. With Amaterasu, you can put your best monsters like Bujin Yamato on the field, while adding useful Effect Monsters like Bujingi Crane to your hand! Since you’ll be banishing monsters with Bujin Hirume, as well as the effects of many of your Bujingi, there will be no shortage of monsters for Amaterasu. As a bonus, Bujinki Amaterasu can be Summoned with any three monsters, so you can try it even in non-Bujin Decks!

The final new Bujin monster is Bujingi Sinyou, which has an incredible effect! While it’s in your Graveyard, you can banish Bujingi Sinyou while your Bujin Beast-Warrior is battling another monster. Your Bujin will gain ATK equal to your opponent’s monster’s ATK! Just remember that your opponent will only take half the battle damage if you use Sinyou’s effect. Combined with Honest and Bujingi Crane, Bujingi Sinyou is yet another awesome way to make sure you win every monster battle!
