Constant misspeller of the word "Albuerquerque" and SJ Editor Urian Brown takes a look at this week's issue.
Cover
art by Yûki Tabata
This cover kicks As-ta! Although Asta is young, he's one of the buffest Weekly Shonen Jump characters and this cover is showing off the goods. Look at that bicep! It's huge! Asta's also one of the most determined SJ heroes, which is saying something, and the look on his face says all you need to know--I LOVE my job!
Black Clover
by Yûki Tabata
After some entertaining festival shenanigans, it's time to announce the Magic Knight Brigades' Achievements. The event all the Black Bulls dread, because they're usually last place. But since Asta's joined the group, they've had run-ins with all manner of evil-doers. And they've usually come out on top. But is it enough to lift them out of the "laughing stock" category?
Dr. Stone
story by Riichiro Inagaki, art by Boichi
Dr. Stone has officially joined the Weekly Shonen Jump lineup! And I couldn't be happier! It was my personal favorite out of the JUMP STARTS, due to the fantastic art, intriguing set up, surprising moments and wacky comedy. The idea felt fresh too. There aren't that many "start civilization over" manga out there, especially in Shonen Jump. And as a treat, we've got two big chapters coming at ya! Enjoy!
My Hero Academia
by Kohei Horikoshi
Suneater's been shot! But not with a regular bullet, one that suppresses Quirks! This changes the whole dynamic of fighting villains. And it looks like the terrible team up of yakuza and the League of Villains is going to have serious ramifications for the hero community!
Seraph of the End: Vampire Reign
story by Takaya Kagami, art by Yamato Yamamoto, storyboards by Daisuke Furuya
It's a reunion that's been a long time coming--Guren finally meets with his long lost students again! They've both had quite an adventure, especially Guren, and now it's time for some much overdue catching up!
Food Wars!: Shokugeki no Soma
story by Yuto Tsukuda, art by Shun Saeki, contributor Yuki Morisaki
The big cooking contest takes a turn as we find out the backstory of two competitors--Isshiki and Kinokuni! Turns out, the Isshiki family has always served the Kinokuni family, sending their children to live and train there. Thus, these two chefs have quite a history! Find out what kind of childhood Isshiki had!
The Promised Neverland
story by Kaiu Shirai, art by Posuka Demizu
The kids have successfully tricked Mom! Well, at least for now. But how did they do it? Emma is smart and determined, but not exactly a mastermind. It was...Norman! Find out how he knew what was going to happen and masterminded a way to trick Mom and save Ray!
Blue Exorcist
by Kazue Kato
The Happy (Merry Xmas) Birthday party is on! There are plenty of crazy parties in Weekly Shonen Jump manga, but this one takes the cake...and destroys it! Plus, we get a rare flashback about Rin and Yukio's mother! Laughter and tears, coming right up!
