Mamori Wataya has always faded into the shadows at her school. Tall and plain, she long ago accepted her role as a side character. When she befriends Soushi Fuji, her brusque classmate who walks with a cane and gets even when people underestimate him, a new avenue appears before her. Can Fuji teach her to embrace her bad side and become a villain like him?
After having some wardrobe trouble at the summer festival, Mamori is touched by Fuji’s willingness to help her—so touched, in fact, that she decides to take the plunge and confess her feelings to him. But things don’t go quite the way she thought they would! Then, when the new semester begins, Mamori finds herself unexpectedly popular thanks to a classmate’s social media post. How will Mamori navigate her new feelings and social status?
