Lions and tigers and bears, oh my! It's our special One Piece & Toriko creature feature!
By March 15, 2012

One Piece and Toriko are a natural choices for a crossover manga! Both have larger than life characters with extraordinary powers. Both main characters are total food-obsessed chowhounds. And both feature some of the wildest wildlife in any manga out there! Let’s take a look at some of their more memorable creatures!

Tony Tony Chopper
One of One Piece’s cutest creatures is Tony Tony Chopper. A reindeer that ate the Human-Human fruit, Chopper has gained several human traits including intelligence and the ability to talk. He’s a Zoan-type devil fruit user and can transform into far more powerful states. He’s the ship’s doctor, and an invaluable part of the crew.

Terry Cloth
Many Gourmet Hunters partner with a super powerful creature and Toriko’s partner is a Battle Wolf named, Terry Cloth. Even among legendary creatures, Battle Wolves stand alone because of their incredible fighting power. They are usually solitary creatures, but Terry has bonded with Toriko and the two have grown stronger together.

Karoo
There are many unique creatures in Alabasta, but one of the most interesting is a big fast duck named, Karoo. The Squadron Leader of the Supersonic Duck Squadron (Alabasta Kingdom’s swiftest unit), Karoo plays an important part in the struggle to save the kingdom. He’s been a loyal companion to Princess Vivi since she was a kid.

Yun
Most creatures in Toriko are quite fearsome and usually enormous. But not a very special baby wall penguin named, Yun. He bonded with Toriko’s cooking partner, Komatsu, at a very early age. While Yun doesn’t really have much power, his saliva proved very useful on Toriko’s quest to complete the Century Soup!

Emerald Dragon
The Emerald Dragon is a very fierce beast Toriko and Komatsu come across. With a capture level of 78, even Toriko wasn’t sure if could face such a beast. Luckily, he didn’t have to since Jiro already tamed it. Instead the three enjoyed a bath in Emerald colored wine conveniently located on the dragon’s back.

Dragon
The Straw Hats had a much tougher time with their dragon than Toriko did. This fire-breathing monster gave both Luffy and Zolo a run for their money. The crew had a hard time believing such an incredible beast existed. This Dragon even talks! However, this monster doesn’t stand a chance against the Straw Hat’s teamwork!
