American Studio Ghibli fans are finally getting a whimsical new destination. Donguri Republic, the official Studio Ghibli merchandise shop, will open its first-ever U.S. pop up location in the Los Angeles area on June 23, 2026.

The limited-time pop-up store will be located at Del Amo Fashion Center in Torrance, California, until December 31, 2026.

Donguri Republic is famous for selling official merchandise inspired by Studio Ghibli’s most iconic films, including My Neighbor Totoro, Kiki’s Delivery Service, Spirited Away, and Princess Mononoke. The Los Angeles location will feature more than 400 items from Studio Ghibli movies, giving fans access to authentic collectibles, plush toys, accessories, and home décor.

The store is designed to reflect the charm that defines Studio Ghibli films. Following the brand’s concept of “a place filled with comfort, warmth, and endless smiles,” the location will feature a cozy wood-inspired interior and immersive displays inspired by beloved movie scenes.

To celebrate the opening, visitors will have the chance to receive limited-edition promotional items. Customers who spend $100 or more will receive a special Donguri Republic in L.A. Original Tote Bag, while supplies last.

The store will also participate in STUDIO GHIBLI FEST 2026 celebrations by offering movie film-style bookmarks. Customers who show a ticket from an eligible festival screening and spend at least $10 in-store can receive one of six collectible bookmark designs inspired by Studio Ghibli films.

For anyone who has ever dreamed of stepping into the enchanting worlds of Totoro, Chihiro, or Princess Mononoke, this limited-time event may be the closest thing yet.
