To participate, attendees must sign up at the Sails Pavilion portfolio review area up to 30 minutes prior to the portfolio review sessions they are interested in. For more information, check out Comic-Con’s Portfolio Review Procedures.

VIZ Originals is VIZ’s imprint dedicated to publishing original graphic novels such as Devil’s Candy, Fangirl: The Manga, and more! We’re looking for talented creators inspired by manga and anime and hope to see samples of your sequential art that highlight dynamic paneling, skillful black-and-white artwork, and compelling storytelling. VIZ One-Shots Portfolio Reviews

The VIZ One-Shots program is a chance for aspiring creators, or mangaka, to develop a one-shot manga in consultation with experienced VIZ editors. A one-shot is a short, self-contained, manga of approximately 20-50 pages. We welcome both right-to-left (Japanese style) and left-to-right (Western style) format. Completed pages are preferred, but we can also review a work-in-progress. Thumbnails are okay, but please also bring your samples of inked paneled pages and character designs with you.
