The Story So Far...
A mysterious group calling themselves the Vandenreich launches a simultaneous attack against the Soul Society and Ichigo in the World of the Living. The group deals significant damage to the Soul Society but fails in their apparent attempt to capture Ichigo. Having invaded the Soul Society, the Vandenreich’s strongest warriors are succeeding in stealing the Bankai ability from the Soul Reaper captains, including Byakuya. As Soul Reaper captains start falling one by one, Genryusai unleashes the true power of his bankai and seemingly defeats the Vandenreich’s king, Yhwach. However, Yhwach turns Genryusai’s immense power against him and lands the finishing blow. Just as all hope seems lost, a new figure suddenly appears!
