Mischief of the Time Goddess

Time's running out on your opponent with this incredible card!

One of the most anticipated cards from the animated Yu-Gi-Oh! series is finally here! Zigfried von Schroeder used Mischief of the Time Goddess to skip Seto Kaiba’s turn so that he could take two turns in a row. In return, Kaiba promptly used one of his Trap Cards to copy Mischief of the Time Goddess and skip Zigfried’s turn, returning the Duel to its normal course. Viewers were in awe at the power of Mischief of the Time Goddess, and since that card is now in the Shadows in Valhalla booster set, you can exploit its incredible power!

0816 Ygo Mischief 1Mischief of the Time Goddess is a Quick-Play Spell Card that remains true to the effect it had in the original animated series. At the end of the Battle Phase, if all monsters you control are Valkyrie monsters, you can activate Mischief of the Time Goddess to skip to the start of the Battle Phase of your next turn. If you do, you cannot activate Mischief of the Time Goddess until the end of that turn.

By using Mischief of the Time Goddess, you get to skip your End Phase as well as your opponent’s entire turn, advancing the Duel straight to a second consecutive Battle Phase. In that Battle Phase, all of your monsters are free to attack your opponent, even if they already attacked during the Battle Phase that immediately preceded it. Mischief of the Time Goddess will help your Valkyries defeat an opponent before he or she gets to take another turn.

Mischief of the Time Goddess not only facilitates quick victories, but it also has a bunch of cool interactions with the Valkyrie theme. The Ride of the Valkyries Spell Card in Shadows in Valhalla lets you Special Summon as many different Valkyries from your hand as you want, but then forces you to shuffle your monsters on the field back into your Deck during the End Phase. By passing over your End Phase with Mischief of the Time Goddess, you can entirely bypass the drawback of having to return your monsters back to your Deck.

Mischief of the Time Goddess is also easy to get into your hand. Once per turn, you can banish Ride of the Valkyries from your Graveyard to add Mischief of the Time Goddess from your Deck to your hand. That pretty much guarantees that every time you use Ride of the Valkyries, you’ll also be able to activate Mischief of the Time Goddess to skip your End Phase and take two Battle Phases.

Mischief of the Time Goddess not only has a powerful effect, but it’s also nearly impossible to stop. Neither player can activate cards or effects in response to the activation of Mischief of the Time Goddess, and it can’t be activated as Chain Link 2 or higher. That means when you activate Mischief of the Time Goddess, it will resolve. You’ll get to skip your opponent’s entire turn and move the Duel along to your next Battle Phase. There’s nothing that your opponent will be able to do to stop it.

Mischief of the Time Goddess, available now in Shadows in Valhalla , is an incredible card that Valkyrie Duelists will rely on to take quick victories over their opponents!
