Monsters that feed on LIGHT and DARK monsters in the Graveyard to pay for their Summoning have always been popular in the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG. Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning, Chaos Emperor Dragon - Envoy of the End, Chaos Sorcerer, Lightpulsar Dragon and Darkflare Dragon all have powerful effects and can be Special Summoned by banishing LIGHT and DARK monsters from the Graveyard. In addition, all of these cards have been competitively used in the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG. Now, Soul Fusion introduces a new “Chaos” monster that you can Summon by banishing LIGHT and DARK monsters from your Graveyard. This new “Chaos” monster, Chaos Dragon Levianeer, is easy to Summon and has three incredible effects!

You can Special Summon Chaos Dragon Levianeer from your hand by banishing a total of three LIGHT and/or DARK monsters from your Graveyard. Levianeer has 3000 ATK, which means it’s a heavy-hitter as soon as it strikes the field. But it also gains one of three awesome effects, depending on which cards you banish in order to Summon it:

• If you banish only LIGHT monsters to Summon Chaos Dragon Levianeer, you can Special Summon any monster from your Graveyard in Defense Position when you Summon Levianeer.
• If you banish only DARK monsters to Summon Chaos Dragon Levianeer, you can shuffle a random card from your opponent’s hand into his or her Deck when you Summon Levianeer.
• If you banish both LIGHT and DARK monsters to Summon Chaos Dragon Levianeer, you can destroy up to two cards on the field when you Summon Levianeer.

You can only use Levianeer's effect once per turn, and Levianeer can’t attack during the turn it uses one of those effects. That makes the first turn of the Duel a great time to Summon it, especially if you can pull off the all-DARK effect!

Since Chaos Dragon Levianeer can be Summoned by banishing any combination of three LIGHT and DARK monsters, it can be played in any Deck that uses either or both of those two Attributes. Levianeer works best in a Deck that uses both LIGHT and DARK monsters, like the new Thunder Dragon strategy from Soul Fusion, since that’ll give it access to all three of its effects.

If you have a bunch of LIGHT and DARK monsters in your Graveyard, you can choose which monsters to banish from your Graveyard, thereby choosing which of Levianeer’s effects to apply. If you want to Special Summon a monster from your Graveyard, banish only LIGHT monsters to Summon it. If you want to knock a card out of your opponent’s hand, banish only DARK monsters to Summon it. If you want to destroy two cards on your opponent’s field, banish a combination of LIGHT and DARK monsters to Summon it.
