Jack Atlas from Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D’s and Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V wouldn’t be “The King of Turbo Duels” without Red Dragon Archfiend. Duelist Pack: Dimensional Guardians has a ton of support for Jack Atlas’ boss monster, including the ramped-up Tyrant Red Dragon Archfiend. This big bad Dragon Synchro Monster has a massive 3500 ATK and 3000 DEF, and while it does require an extra Tuner Monster to Summon, its impact is huge. During your Main Phase, Tyrant Red Dragon Archfiend can destroy all other cards on the field! Clearing away all of your opponent’s cards can completely turn a Duel around, regardless of how far you have fallen behind. You won’t be able to attack with other monsters the same turn you use that effect, but with 3500 ATK, Tyrant Red Dragon Archfiend alone can take a huge chunk out of your opponent’s Life Points.

Tyrant Red Dragon Archfiend has another effect that’s useful when you don’t want to destroy your own field, making it a go-to Synchro Monster whenever you can manage the Synchro Materials. During the Battle Phase, Tyrant Red Dragon Archfiend can negate the activation of any Spell or Trap Card and destroy it. With powerful reactive Trap Cards like Mirror Force threatening to destroy your whole field, having Tyrant Red Dragon Archfiend to stop that eliminates a crucial method your opponent will try to deal with your monsters. If that wasn’t enough, Tyrant Red Dragon Archfiend gains 500 ATK if it successfully negates and destroys a Spell or Trap with that effect, buffing it up all the way to 4000 ATK! That’s half of your opponent’s Life Points gone with just one attack!

At Level 10, Tyrant Red Dragon Archfiend needs two Tuners and one Non-Tuner to Synchro Summon it. You can use Tuners like Red Resonator and Chain Resonator to help you get more Tuners onto the field. When you Normal Summon Red Resonator, you can Special Summon a Level 4 or lower monster from your hand, making it easy to get another Tuner Monster in play. Similarly, Chain Resonator will let you Special Summon a “Resonator” from your Deck when it is Normal Summoned, but you will need to control a Synchro Monster as well to do so. With Resonator Call to search both of these as well as your other “Resonators,” it’s easy to gather the Synchro Materials for Tyrant Red Dragon Archfiend!
