Anonymous Noise, Vol. 8 introduces a couple of new characters—Sui and Juri, a fashion-model duo who ask Yuzu and Nino to write their debut song.
Initially, Sui and Juri are huge pains-in-the-butt to work with, but we also see flashbacks of their struggles trying to make it in the music business (from discouraging, not well-attended live shows to sexual harassment).
With pressure from managers who want them to put out a clean, appealing image, it’s amazing that Sui and Juri are able to realize their dreams at all. When Nino and Yuzu rise to the occasion and pump out a song that rings true to them, it’s great to see their appreciation and gratitude.
Meanwhile, Tsukika manages to locate Momo and tricks him into talking to Nino—something he’s been dying to do but could never bring himself to act on.
I can’t decide whether that phone conversation between Nino and Momo was more surprising-but-necessary or if this moment between Miou and Yuzu is…!!
I can tell Miou is one step closer to moving forward. I, for one, am proud of her! There’s even more juicy stuff that happens between her and Haruyoshi, but I won’t spoil that here. Go check out volume 8 and let us know what you think!
