Spirit Warriors is an all-foil set that introduces two brand-new themes along with the revival of an old favorite! The Six Samurai has been one of the strongest strategies at multiple points throughout the Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME’s history, and now they're back! The last time we saw the Six Samurai we learned of their legacy as the Legendary Six Samurai. This time around the Secret Six Samurai have adopted much more of a shinobi style than their traditional counterparts, and with them comes the first ever Six Samurai Fusion Monster—Secret Six Samurai - Rihan!

Secret Six Samurai - Rihan stands at Level 5 with 2400 ATK and 2400 DEF. Fusion Summoning Secret Six Samurai - Rihan only requires three “Six Samurai” monsters with different Attributes, and rather than using Polymerization you just need to send those cards you control to the Graveyard! Not needing Polymerization makes Summoning Secret Six Samurai - Rihan a breeze, and once Rihan is on the field, it’ll start taking over the game.

Secret Six Samurai - Rihan has two effects. The first is what will let you start swinging things in your favor: Once per turn, you can banish one “Six Samurai” card from your hand or face-up from your field, then target one card on the field and banish it! Because the “Six Samurai” card you banish doesn’t need to be a monster nor on the field, it’s very easy to fuel this effect. Turn after turn you can banish your opponent’s best card to make sure you get ahead and your opponent can’t come back. Now we can see why Secret Six Samurai - Rihan makes such a great offensive threat, but how about on defense?

Because Secret Six Samurai - Rihan is so good at getting rid of your opponent’s card, your opponent will want to deal with it as fast as possible. Luckily, the second effect of Secret Six Samurai - Rihan will help you protect your monsters after it has been destroyed. If a “Six Samurai” monster(s) you control would be destroyed by battle or card effect, you can banish this card from your Graveyard instead! Now even after your opponent has destroyed Rihan, you can make sure they don’t advance their lead even further.
