It's always bittersweet to say goodbye to a series I work on. While I enjoy finally seeing the full scope of the creator's vision, it's sad seeing the last of characters I enjoy. With So Cute It Hurts!! Volume 15 , Go Ikeyamada seems to soften the farewell blues by really focusing o the happy endings. Since all the scary drama stuff played out in volume 14, this final volume has room to linger on all the characters' dreams coming true.

Mego and Aoi and their little family celebrate the Star Festival in Sendai, like they promised they would back when they were first became a couple.

Shino and Mitsuru have a wonderful moment that celebrates their friendship, which became so important to both of them even though it started because Mitsuru was cross dressing as his sister to get out of a history test.

And Shino and Mego even achieve their dream of writing a book together! I won't spoil the plot for you, but it is very personal to both of them.

There's even a bonus chapter where we get to see Mitsuru and Azusa's happily ever after. Who would have thought that the playboy and the bully would bring out the best in each other?
