Yona of the Dawn, Vol. 19 takes the gang underground where a mysterious spirit takes possession of Sinha’s body! Sinha definitely had a rough past, but when we hear this spirit’s story, I couldn’t help but wonder if the Blue Dragons have always had a sad fate. In some way, Sinha might be the happiest Blue Dragon since he has the opportunity to roam freely with his friends. Actually, the same can be said about all the other dragons.
This volume has some super cute interactions between Yona and Hak as Yona gets closer to understanding her feelings about him. It’s hard to think of a childhood friend as more than just a friend, but all the danger they’ve been surviving together pushes Yona to consider just how precious Hak is to her. It was hard to pick a favorite scene between these two, but I’d have to say that mine is when Yona gives Hak his good-luck charm.
Volume 20 (out on October 1) is action-packed as we enter the nation of Sei, so please be sure to check it out!
