Polarizing Cards!

Check out these rather attractive cards!

Over the last year, nearly all of Yugi’s most memorable cards and strategies got a revamp for the modern era of Dueling, and now it’s the Magnet Warriors’ turn! Structure Deck: Yugi Muto introduces a brand new set of Magnet Warriors that work both on their own and with the originals, and they’re capable of some pretty cool stuff!

Ygo Magnet 1

Alpha The Electromagnet Warrior, Beta The Electromagnet Warrior and Gamma The Electromagnet Warrior are all Level 3 EARTH Rock-Type monsters that do something when they’re Normal or Special Summoned, kind of like the Gadgets. Beta adds a Level 4 or lower “Magnet Warrior” from your Deck to your hand like the classic Gadgets, while Gamma Special Summons one from your hand like the newer Gold Gadget and Silver Gadget. Alpha is a bit different, it lets you look through your Deck for a Level 8 “Magna Warrior” monster instead!

Ygo Magnet 1

The original “Magna Warrior” is Valkyrion the Magna Warrior, a 3500 ATK monster that you Summon from your hand by Tributing Alpha The Magnet Warrior, Beta The Magnet Warrior and Gamma The Magnet Warrior from your hand or field. It can also split back up into the three Magnet Warriors if you need it to. The new Electromagnet Warriors can help you Summon Valkyrion by swapping themselves out for the original Magnet Warriors during your opponent’s turn. Not only does that put the originals on your field, it also leaves the Electromagnet Warriors in the Graveyard where you can banish them to Summon a new “Magna Warrior” monster: Berserkion the Electromagna Warrior!

Ygo Magnet 1

Berserkion the Electromagna Warrior is Summoned from your hand by banishing one each of the new Electromagnet Warriors from your hand, Graveyard or Monster Zones. For your trouble you get a 3000 ATK monster with a Dark Armed Dragon-style destruction ability that splits back into the three Electromagnet Warriors if it’s destroyed by your opponent. This, of course, means you get to Summon Alpha The Electromagnet Warrior again and can search out another Berserkion. As many times as you want during your Main Phase, you can use Berserkion’s effect to banish a Level 4 or lower “Magnet Warrior” monster from your Graveyard to destroy any card your opponent controls, so it’s important to load up on as many of them as possible before you Summon Berserkion. That’s why it’s important to play with the original Magnet Warriors too! By Tributing your Electromagnet Warriors for regular Magnet Warriors, you get the fuel you need to Summon Berserkion and you’re just an Xyz Summon away from having all the Magnet Warriors you need for Berserkion to go wild!

If you’re feeling particularly bold you can attempt the incredible feat of fusing Berserkion and Valkyrion together to form the mighty Imperion Magnum the Superconductive Battlebot! Imperion Magnum has 4000 ATK and DEF and gets a free negation of any Spell, Trap, or monster effect your opponent activates once during every turn! It can also split back up into its component parts if your opponent destroys it, so if the opportunity to fuse presents itself, go for it!
