The Elemental Lords are some of the strongest monsters in the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG! They all have 2800 ATK/2200 DEF and can be Special Summoned from your hand when you have exactly five monsters of a specific Attribute in your Graveyard. Up until now, two of the most popular Elemental Lords—Moulinglacia the Elemental Lord and Grandsoil the Elemental Lord—had only been printed as Secret Rare cards in the core booster sets, Abyss Rising and Return of the Duelist in 2012, making them difficult for Duelists to get their hands on. But now, thanks to the Flames of Destruction Special Edition, Duelists everywhere will have a new opportunity to get them.

Each Flames of Destruction Special Edition includes three Flames of Destruction booster packs, a variant preview card from an upcoming booster set, and a Super Rare copy of either Moulinglacia the Elemental Lord or Grandsoil the Elemental Lord.

Moulinglacia the Elemental Lord is the lord of the WATER Attribute. You can Special Summon it from your hand when you have exactly five WATER monsters in your Graveyard, and if you do, your opponent discards two random cards from his or her hand. Forcing an opponent to discard two random cards can be devastating, especially early in a Duel.

Decks built around WATER monsters, like Mermail and Atlantean Decks, can easily send five WATER monsters into the Graveyard and Special Summon Moulinglacia the Elemental Lord early on to take advantage of its incredible power. That’s why Moulinglacia has made it into the upper echelons of competitive Dueling.

Grandsoil the Elemental Lord is the lord of the EARTH Attribute. You can Special Summon Grandsoil from your hand when you have exactly five EARTH monsters in your Graveyard, and if you do, you can Special Summon a monster from either Graveyard to your field.

Decks built around EARTH monsters, like Psychic Decks, can use Grandsoil as a finisher. It single-handedly brings 2800 ATK to the table, and the monster that it Special Summons alongside it will usually have enough ATK to finish an opponent off.

Even though the Elemental Lords have always been used in Decks built around the Attribute they represent, the new Elementsabers in Flames of Destruction make it possible to use Moulinglacia, Grandsoil and the rest of the Elemental Lords together in one Deck. The Elementsaber monsters can change their Attributes while they’re in the Graveyard, allowing them to facilitate the Special Summon of any Elemental Lord.
