With notes, musings, sketches and memories from Sui Ishida, creator of the Tokyo Ghoul world, this new zakki book has even more art and information than the original, Tokyo Ghoul Illustrations: zakki, and focuses on Tokyo Ghoul:re, the sequel series to Tokyo Ghoul.

Tokyo Ghoul:re takes place two years after the cataclysmic, and quite mysterious, events of the original series.

Now, the Commission of Counter Ghoul is the only organization fighting the Ghoul menace, and they will use every tool at their disposal to protect humanity from its ultimate predator. Their newest weapon in this hidden war is an experimental procedure that implants human investigators with a Ghoul’s Kagune, giving them Ghoul powers and abilities. But both the procedure and the newly formed Qs Squad are untested. But will they become heroes…or monsters.

Full color spreads of Sui Ishida’s incredible art showcase his pieces like you’ve never seen before. And each has commentary and memories attached. This, the original piece used for the cover of Tokyo Ghoul:re, Volume 1, shows “half-Ghoul Investigator Haise Sasaki taking center stage,” explains Ishida Sensei.
