Duelist Alliance
comes out on August 15 with tons of new Decks to try out! A couple of weeks ago, we featured a Pendulum Summoning combo using Satellarknight Alsahm, so this week we’ll talk a little more about the other Satellarknights and their incredible Xyz Monster, Stellarknight Delteros!

Every Satellarknight is a Level 4 LIGHT Warrior monster with an effect that activates when it’s Summoned. You can use each of these effects once per turn, including during your opponent’s turn if you Summon with cards like Call of the Haunted. Here’s a quick breakdown:

• Satellarknight Alsahm deals 1000 damage to your foe.
• Satellarknight Deneb adds another Satellarknight from your Deck to your hand.
• Satellarknight Altair Summons a Satellarknight from your Graveyard.
• Satellarknight Vega Summons a Satellarknight from your hand.
• Satellarknight Unukalhai sends a Satellarknight from your Deck to your Graveyard.

When any three of your Satellarknights are on the field, you can combine them to Xyz Summon the mighty Stellarknight Delteros! Delteros has three special abilities. The first one stops your opponent from playing any cards or effects when you Summon a monster. Many of the best Trap Cards, like the “Trap Hole” series of cards can only be played when monsters are Summoned, making them useless against Delteros. The second effect lets you detach an Xyz Material to destroy any card on the field. It’s a way more economical version of Mecha Phantom Beast Dracossack’s ability, but be careful, because Delteros’ first ability will stop working if you run out of Xyz Materials.

Delteros can actually be Summoned using any three Level 4 monsters, so you can use him in any Deck. However, you’ll only get its third ability if you’re using a Satellarknight Deck. When Delteros is sent to the Graveyard, you get to Special Summon a new Satellarknight from your hand or Deck! Even if your opponent can get rid of Delteros, it just means you can start your combos up again next turn, or maybe even the same turn! And if need-be, you can send Delteros to the Graveyard yourself and negate any Spell Card, Trap Card or monster effect your opponent activates with the Stellarnova Alpha Trap Card.

To activate it, you send a “tellarknight” you control to the Graveyard. That means it works with “Satellarknights” or “Stellarknights.” When it resolves, you negate your opponent’s card or effect AND draw a new card! It’s an enormously powerful tool for ensuring your victory or preventing your opponent’s!

Duelist Alliance launches on Friday, August 15! We’ll take a look at another one of the new Decks next week!
