This is my favorite SJ Alpha cover to date. I’m a huge nutter for Toriko, and one of the best characters is Zebra. The ultimate tough guy! Even amongst the many tough guys of Toriko, he manages to stand out. Great design, too. I think I have an idea for my next tattoo…

Nice color spread! So pink and cheerful! It almost looks like an Oda spread. The action in this chapter is totally bananas! Especially the fighting technique of “Chow Craft!” Genius! Also, Chin Chin-Chin gets in on the action. It’s always fun to see the master fight!

Barrage

A new manga! And not just new here, but new in Japan! It’s rare an unproven title gets released in the States so fast, so enjoy its freshness! Great follow-up to the first chapter. The story is moving along at a brisk pace! I really like the main character—he has a lot of heart!

Naruto

The secret of Itachi’s Izanami ocular jutsu revealed! And not just revealed, but broken down in classic Kishimoto ninja science charts! I love when he does that, although I don’t always understand it. Then again, I’ve never claimed to be a ninja scientist. Great battle. Just as far out and strange as you’d expect, considering the nature of the characters' jutsu.

Bleach

The battle in Hueco Mundo is heating up! Quilge Opie has quite the name! Tite Kubo’s outdone himself here. I always wonder how names like this seem to the Japanese. Does it sound cool? Mysterious? I’ll never know! One thing I can tell you is—he’s one tough bird!

One Piece

Wow, the chapter page here is really powerful. Oda is truly the master of the title pages with his wide variety of subject matter. Seeing Whitebeard and Ace’s graves really tugs at the heartstrings. A nice gesture on Oda's part. Chapter’s pretty amazing, too! So much stuff crammed into so few pages. I recommend reading this in full-screen mode!

Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan

Looks like the next stage of the huge upcoming battle is set. A foe so deadly, humans and yokai are working together to stop his diabolical intent! Can Rikuo and his Parade of a Hundred Demons prevail? We’ll find out!
