While Sailor Moon is known for its deep emotion, action and amazing characters, the series has a lot of fun moments as well. This week, I'm going to take you through some of my favorite lighter moments in the series over the five seasons. Not so coincidentally, most of these selections feature our favorite orange-loving goofball with the talking white kitty, Minako! Better yet, since these episodes are on the more whimsical side of things, you can jump right in without knowing a whole lot about the series. They are all free, so you can watch them right here!

Sailor Moon: Episode 31 - Love and Chased: Luna's Worst Day Ever

Love cats? Love Gone With the Wind? Like spotting random 90s Dekotora? This is your episode. Let's just say Luna finds herself the subject of a kitty crush reminiscent of Tubbs from Nekoatsume and then things get weird.

Sailor Moon R: Episode 78 - Venus: Minako's Nurse Mayhem

The Guardian of Love just wants to help when everyone gets sick with the Flu! Minako comes in like a wrecking ball in full nurse regalia, but is her help doing more harm than good?

Now for one of my favorite moments in the whole series, the two-part episode from Season 3!

Sailor Moon S: Episode 101 - Usagi in Tears: a Glass Slipper for My Birthday

It's June 30th, and that means Usagi is wondering what she is going to get for her birthday! She sees a beautiful pair of crystalline shoes that remind her of a fairy tale, but does her darling, Mamoru even notice? This one ends on quite a cliffhanger, but the real hilarity comes in part 2.

Sailor Moon S: Episode 102 - The Stolen Pure Heart: Usagi's Crisis

Usagi is stuck in a situation where she can't transform and a certain Guardian of Love comes to the rescue in the most peculiar way. This episode is a great example of the series always taking a moment to show off some well-placed comedy, even when things aren't going so well.

Sailor Moon SuperS: Episode 153 - Dentist of Horrors? Palla-Palla's House

The adorable baddie from the Amazoness Quartet, Palla-Palla wants to play at being a dentist and sends out some infectious sugar to attract patients with beautiful dreams. And who do we know that loves sweets too much? EXACTLY. Leave it to The Amazoness Quartet to make going to the dentist even more terrifying!

Finally, we have one of the memorable moments from the final season, Sailor Stars!

Sailor Moon Sailor Stars: Episode 192 - Go For Your Dream: Minako becomes an Idol

Yep, it's another Minako episode and this time she wants to be an idol even bigger and brighter than the Three Lights! She doesn't want to neglect her duties as a Sailor Guardian, but even after getting Kabedon'd by Yaten, she decides to do her best at the final round of auditions. While this episode has its serious moments, the message is clear—respect your duties, but always take time to follow your dreams… and wear a fluffy orange dress whenever possible.
