He's 73 years old today, and forever young in his Star Trek uniform. You could argue that his turn as Captain Hikaru Sulu provided a flash point in science fiction. At the very least, he gave us an iconic view of the future... a Japanese future. So here's to you, Mr. Takei. Have a happy birthday. Everyone in the Haikasoru bullpen salutes you.
