Nancy's Cubie Tour
Here’s some stuff that’s in my workspace. I like to have images up from series I’m currently working on—they help to invigorate and inspire me.
1. This is the Gentlemen’s Alliance Cross calendar I brought in to show the image I wanted for one side of the limited-edition poster that was included in volume 1 (first edition only). I love this image.
2. These are a couple color images from Beauty Pop. I adore this series and have lots of Beauty Pop furoku around in my space.
3. I have to hide what I have in this spot until the title is announced. No hints. All I can say is that I’m very happy to be working on this series.
4. This is a Japanese tankoubon (book) cover for Ouran High School Host Club that was included as a freebie in the Japanese magazine. My tankoubon covers end up getting thrashed when I’m working on a manga, so I thought it’d be safer on my wall than on a book.
5. This is the poster from Matsuri Hino’s 2006 San Diego Comic Con visit. I really like how it came out. Now I want a Kaname poster too….
6. This is a tiny bit of my shelves. This is where I keep my manuscripts, lettered pages, and tankoubon. My shelves are a bit messy at the moment (okay, they’re usually messy) because I keep a lot of papers in there until whatever I’m working on has been printed.
This is a Hunny plushie that Urian Brown brought back for me from a convention last year. Thanks Urian!

Oh my gosh!! I love Gentlemens Alliance Cross and Vampire Night.
Tanemura Arina is my favorite mangaka! I can't wait until Viz releases
all the new series that are coming out in the summer and fall. They're
going to be awesome. I can't wait! I want to read the fith Gentlemens
Alliance Cross really badly.I want to read I-O-N too. Is it true that
Viz got the licenses for Time Stranger Kyoko and Short-Tempered
Melancholy by Tanemura? Did Viz also get the licenses for WANTED and
Captive Heart by Hino Matsuri? If it is I can't wait!

Cute cube! I love those series that you're working on - keep up the
good work! You guys are so lucky to be doing what you love. How'd you
get into the industry? Any advice for people who want to become
editors? (^_^)v

To Rebecca: Yes, Time Stranger Kyoko and Short-Tempered Melancholic
were announced at last year’s San Diego Comic Con—I’m actually
proofing Time Stranger Kyoko today! Wanted was announced in the March
issue of Shojo Beat magazine (and the Wanted proofs are sitting on my
desk waiting for some attention…). For future announcements check
out the “Manga Volume Update” page in the mag.
I’m glad
to hear you’re enjoying VK and GA+. ^_^

I love your cube! I'd love to be in your spot!! I want to be an editor
for Viz someday and hopefully my cube will be full of all those fun
things. The Hunny plushie is too adorable, but you really do need a
poster of Kaname-sama up somewhere!^^
