Official Rules and Regulations

How to Enter:

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. To enter the Trip to Comic-Con International Sweepstakes (the "Sweepstakes") go to http://www.viz.com/comicconsweepstakes/ on the VIZ Media website from Monday, May 2, 2005 9:00 AM PST (Sweepstakes Start Date) until Thursday, May 19, 2005, 11:59 PM PST (Sweepstakes Close Date). Complete the online entry form or mail a postcard to Comic-Con International Sweepstakes, VIZ Media, LLC, 295 Bay Street, San Francisco, CA 94133 with your full name, age, mailing address, phone number, and email address. All entries (whether online or postcard) must be received by Thursday, May 19, 2005, 11:59 PM PST. Maximum of one (1) entry per person.

This Sweepstakes is sponsored by VIZ Media, LLC (the "Sponsors").

Prize

Grand Prize: There is a total of Two (2) Grand Prize available to be won of a trip for Two (2) people to Comic-Con International 2005, July 13-17 in San Diego, California.

The Grand Prize includes:

• One (1) round trip economy airfare for Two (2) people from the airport closest
  to the winner's place of residence to San Diego and
• Five (5) nights standard double accommodation at a hotel of the Sponsor's choosing.
• Two (2) passes to Comic-Con International, 2005, July 13-17.

Approximate retail value of the Grand Prize is One Thousand United States Dollars ($1,000.00 U.S.), based on travel by air and including the cost of the hotel. Actual value will depend on the point of travel origin. Arrangements for the Grand Prize trip will be made by VIZ, LLC in its sole discretion. Selected entrants will be advised of convention date and time, must be over the age of 18 and must be able to travel and participate on July 13, 2005 to be eligible. In the event that the winner is not available on the date specified by the Sponsors, and the Sponsors are not able to offer alternate dates, another entrant will be selected. Any costs or expenses, including other meals, insurance, ground transportation costs, gas, tips, taxes and fees, not specifically identified as part of the prize are the responsibility of the prize-winner and the prize-winner's guest. The prize-winner and the prize-winner's guest must depart from the same airport, and at the same time. Trip arrangements, once made, are final and cannot be changed.

A random draw from all eligible entries received before the Sweepstakes Close (Thursday, May 19) will take place within a week of the Sweepstakes Close in San Francisco, California. Chances of winning are dependent upon the number of eligible entries received. The Sponsor will attempt to notify the selected entrant for the Grand Prize within Forty-eight (48) hours of the random drawing. In the event that a selected entrant cannot be reached, at the time of the initial attempt by phone, the Sponsors reserve the right to randomly select another entrant. For a list of the winners, please send a self-addressed stamped enveloped to the Sponsors at Comic-Con International Sweepstakes, VIZ, LLC, 295 Bay Street, San Francisco, CA 94133.

Selected entrants will be required to sign a Declaration and Release Form, which among other things from releases the Sponsors from all liability. All documents must be faxed to VIZ, LLC (Fax number: 415-321-8756) and returned within twenty-four (24) hours of the time indicated on the Declaration and Release Form or the prize may be forfeited and awarded to an alternate entrant.

In order to be eligible to win a prize, entrants must comply with these Sweepstakes Rules. Entrants agree that the Sponsors have the sole right to decide all matters and disputes arising from the sweepstakes and that the Sponsors' determination is final and binding.

The Sweepstakes is open to all individual residents of the United States who are above the age of 18, excluding employees and/or representatives of the Sponsors, their respective affiliates, related companies and members of the households of such employees, representatives and agents, advertising and promotional agencies. Void where prohibited by law. By entering, Sweepstakes contestants agree to abide by all the Sweepstakes rules and all the decisions of the Sweepstakes judges, which shall be final and binding for all entrants in all matters relating to the Sweepstakes. The Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable Federal laws and regulations. The Sponsors reserve the right to cancel or suspend the Sweepstakes in the event of any accident, administrative or other error of any kind.

If it is discovered in the ordinary course of running the promotion that one person has attempted to enter more than once per day total, that person will be disqualified from the Sweepstakes. The Sponsors also reserve the right to disqualify such Sweepstakes contestant from further Sweepstakes conducted by the Sponsors without further notice.

Each prize must be accepted as awarded and is non-transferable or convertible to cash. The Sponsors reserve the right to substitute any portion of a prize with one of equal or greater value if for any reason the prize cannot be awarded as described.

By accepting a prize, the winner also agree to the use of their name, and photograph and/or other likeness in any related publicity without further compensation or permission worldwide and in perpetuity. The Sponsors make no representation or warranty that any identification, videotape, photograph and/or likeness of any winners will be broadcast or used otherwise in any manner. The Sponsors shall not be responsible or liable for losses or injuries of any kind resulting from participating in the Sweepstakes or acceptance, possession, use or misuse of any prize.

All entries become the property of the Sponsors and will not be returned and no correspondence will be entered into except with selected entrants. Entries are subject to verification and will be declared invalid if they are illegible, mechanically reproduced, mutilated, forged, falsified, altered or tampered with in any way. The Sponsors shall not be responsible for any lost, misdirected, or mutiliated entries, or the failure of an online entry to be received by the Sponsors due to errors in transmission or receipt.

By entering the Sweepstakes, entrants agree that the Sponsors shall not be held responsible or liable for any losses or injuries of any kind resulting from the participating in the Sweepstakes or acceptance, possession and/or use or misuse of any prize and agree to release, discharge and hold harmless the Sponsors and their respective officers, directors, parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, related companies, advertising and promotional agencies and prize suppliers from all claims or damages arising out of entrant's participation in the Sweepstakes and/or acceptance, use or misuse of any prize.
