Duelist Pack: Dimensional Guardians is drawing closer every day, bringing with it cards from the heroes of Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V and the famous Duelists they recruit in their journey across dimensions. Yuya and his Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon are the beneficiaries of some of the best that Dimensional Guardians has to offer!

Spiral Flame Strike is a Spell named after Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon’s signature attack in Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V. It can do one of two things depending on whether or not you have an “Odd-Eyes” card on the field. If you don’t, you can go get a Level 7 “Odd-Eyes” monster from your Deck and add it to your hand, or take one that’s faceup in your Extra Deck and add it to your hand. If you do have an “Odd-Eyes” card on the field, you can opt for the search effect, or you can destroy any card on the field. The search effect is particularly useful if you’re playing with multiple copies of Odd-Eyes Phantom Dragon.

Odd-Eyes Phantom Dragon is a card you want to have both as a monster and as a Spell Card at the same time. Its Pendulum Effect lets you power up a monster by 1200 ATK when it battles another monster, and what better monster to power up than another copy of Odd-Eyes Phantom Dragon? With its effect, it can deal up to an additional 2400 damage to your opponent if it inflicts any battle damage to them while attacking, and it will deal that much if you have the second “Odd-Eyes” card in your other Pendulum Zone needed to trigger that ATK boost in the first place.

While Spiral Flame Strike makes it easier than ever to gather all your “Odd-Eyes” Dragons in one place, Pendulum Fusion makes it easier to combine them into new and improved monsters! Pendulum Fusion lets you Fusion Summon using monsters you control, similar to Fusion Substitute, but if you have two cards in your Pendulum Zones, you can also use those cards as Fusion Materials as well! If you’re already playing Duelist Alliance from Maximum Crisis to search for your other “Pendulum” cards, you can use it to search for Pendulum Fusion as well, vastly increasing how often you can Summon powerful monsters like Odd-Eyes Vortex Dragon!
