The Hand That Rocks the Cradle

Take your opponent's card like candy from a baby!

One of the biggest advantages you can have in a Duel is knowing what kind of Deck your opponent is playing before the Duel begins. If you do, then you’ll know which possible moves are safe and what you need to do to foil your opponent’s plans. Lullaby of Obedience from Duelist Pack: Rivals of the Pharaoh lets you turn what’s normally just a mental advantage into a physical one by snatching your opponent’s key monster right out of their Deck!

0929 Ygo Lullaby 1

Lullaby of Obedience was originally used by Kaiba during his Battle City Finals Duel against Yugi. It was the perfect card for the obsessive billionaire who had spent sleepless nights studying the strategies of all his possible opponents, and in particular, Marik and his The Winged Dragon of Ra. With Lullaby of Obedience, you pay 2000 LP and name any one Monster Card. Your opponent must then look through their Deck for the card you named, and if it’s there, they have to either add it to YOUR hand or let you Special Summon it to YOUR field, regardless of any conditions normally attached to its Summon.

This card excels when you’re Dueling against friends because of your familiarity with them and their strategies. If they don’t often make radical changes to their Deck or switch strategies, you’ll know exactly what to take away with Lullaby of Obedience to unravel their plans. One of the cool things about just having Lullaby of Obedience, even if you never play it, is that it necessitates change and adaptation, preventing your Duels from getting stale.

Lullaby of Obedience is at its absolute best, however, when you encounter another Duelist who uses the same kind of Deck you do! If you do run into someone playing the same kind of Deck you’re using, Lullaby of Obedience acts as a search card for any monster in your Deck. Missing a key monster like Speedroid Terrortop? Just take one from your opponent’s Deck with Lullaby of Obedience. You’ll be able to use it for yourself, and more importantly, it’s one less copy of that key card in your opponent’s Deck!

You can find Lullaby of Obedience in Duelist Pack: Rivals of the Pharaoh , available now!
