Enforce your will with these cards!

If you got your hands on some of the “Invoked” Fusion Monsters from Fusion Enforcers, you might be wondering what kinds of Decks they’d work well in. Here’s a handy guide to give you a few ideas on some Decks to jazz up with a little Fusion power.

Invoked Mechaba is a fusion of Aleister the Invoker and any LIGHT monster. It lets you send a Spell, Trap or Monster Card from your hand to the Graveyard to negate the activation of a card of the same type or the activation of an effect in the case of monsters. Blue-Eyes is a great choice for this, but it’s also useful in Decks that use the “Artifact” monsters since they’re defensive by nature and often don’t have a strong first turn play or way to win the Duel. Artifact Scythe is pretty strong at the moment, so giving Decks that use it more ways to win is a big deal!

Invoked Cocytus is the WATER Fusion, and it can’t be destroyed or targeted by enemy card effects. It can also attack while sitting in Defense Position, so it’s a good fit for Decks that are looking to slow the game down while still keeping constant pressure on the opponent, like Paleozoics. Cocytus and Toadally Awesome represent 4000 damage a turn, forcing your opponent to act quickly and blunder into your Trap Cards! If you’re playing against such a Deck, you can Summon it by banishing Ronintoadin from your opponent’s Graveyard, cutting them off from their key Xyz Material and Summoning a monster that the Deck has a hard time interacting with due to all its targeting effects.

Invoked Purgatrio is the FIRE Fusion. It powers up by 200 ATK for each card your opponent controls, inflicts piercing battle damage and can attack every monster your opponent controls. This monster excels against Pendulum Decks like Metalfoes that can defend against attacks infinitely by just Pendulum Summoning a whole army in Defense Position every turn. Plus the Metalfoes themselves are FIRE monsters! If your opponent leaves even one of them in the Graveyard, you can fuse it with your Aleister to create a game-ending menace no matter what Deck you play!

Whether you’re playing them or playing against them, Zoodiacs are a force to be reckoned with… when they actually have Attack Points! Zoodiac often leaves 0 ATK and DEF monsters on the field, so a little muscle courtesy of the 3000 ATK Invoked Magellanica, the EARTH Fusion, can tip the scales one way or the other, especially if it’s created by banishing a Zoodiac Ratpier from the opponent’s Graveyard!

Invoked Caliga pairs Aleister with another DARK monster, which could even be a second Aleister. It’s much better to pair it with a Shaddoll monster though, as Caliga limits each player to attacking with only one monster and only attempting to activate one monster effect each turn while Caliga is face-up on the field. Summon it alongside El Shaddoll Winda, and you can limit Special Summons to one per turn as well! Winda can’t be destroyed by card effects and is a perfect monster to power up with excess copies of Aleister! If a heavy Fusion strategy like this interests you, check out Magical Meltdown, a Field Spell that searches out Aleister and makes it impossible to disrupt your Fusion Summons.

Finally, Invoked Raidjin, the WIND Fusion, lets you flip any monster on the field face-down, once per turn during every turn. It’s extremely powerful and disruptive and goes great with another powerful, disruptive Deck: Majespecters! Combine them with the new “Windwitch” monsters from Raging Tempest, and you’ll have a Deck that can Pendulum Summon, Fusion Summon, Xyz Summon and Synchro Summon powerful monsters, making it impossible to predict what you’ll do next!
